Creation is not that spark you get when you are taking a shower, the light bulb moment when you're on the toilet or the 3 a.m. frustration when you can't sleep and then inspiration hits. OK those instances are special too, but I can't build a creative career on lucky toilet breaks and creative showering.
Creativity is work. It is grinding. It is grit. It is being vulnerable. Fighting your inner critics. Fighting your ego and loosing most of the time.
But if you know the beast of creativity, you know she is predictable. She will give you output if you give her input. Perspiration will lead to inspiration, inspiration will lead to creation and the creation will lead to more perspiration. And that is what I call sustainable creativity.
Creativity is not luck. It is a flow. If you get in the flow, you will get creativity. The more you do this, the more you will receive.
